Ledgerline product interface

Ledgerline

Timeline: 4 weeks, discovery to production

Scope: Full-stack build, UX/UI, Plaid and Stripe integration, post-launch support

The problem

Two ex-bank operators had a thesis about cash-flow forecasting for agencies, a Figma file, and an investor meeting nine weeks out. Two dev shops had quoted them five months and six figures. They needed something real in front of users before the meeting, not after it.

What we built

A cash-flow forecasting platform that syncs bank transactions, categorizes them, and projects runway 13 weeks forward. Multi-entity support from day one — their target customers all run three or four legal entities, and every existing tool forced them into spreadsheets to consolidate.

We scoped hard. The forecasting engine, bank sync, and one clean dashboard shipped in v1. Client portals, invoicing, and the reporting suite were mapped and deliberately deferred to v2 so the core loop could get in front of real users first.

Categorization was the piece that decided whether the product felt magic or tedious. Rather than ask users to tag six months of history, we match recurring transactions against their own past behavior and surface only the genuinely ambiguous ones — typically a dozen out of several hundred.

Results

  • Live with paying users in 4 weeks
  • 137 signups in the first month with no paid acquisition
  • Raised a $1.4M pre-seed off the working product
  • Cut client cash reporting from roughly 6 hours a month to 20 minutes

Cadence Health product interface

Cadence Health

Timeline: 6 weeks

Scope: Discovery, full-stack build, HIPAA-conscious architecture, team training

The problem

A multi-site physical therapy group was coordinating 62 clinicians across 9 locations using a shared spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group, and a scheduling tool nobody liked. Double-bookings were routine. Admin staff spent their mornings reconciling a calendar by hand. Off-the-shelf practice management software meant a six-month migration and workflows that didn't match how they actually operate.

What we built

An internal scheduling and capacity platform: clinician availability, room and equipment allocation, patient load balancing across sites, and a live utilization dashboard for the ops director.

Access control was the hard part, not the UI. We built row-level security so a clinician sees their own caseload, a site lead sees their location, and the ops director sees everything — enforced at the database layer rather than hidden in the frontend.

Patient records stay in their existing EHR. We integrated rather than duplicated, which kept the compliance surface small and meant no PHI migration project.

Results

  • 11 hours a week of admin reconciliation eliminated
  • Double-bookings down 94% in the first quarter
  • Clinician utilization up from 68% to 81%
  • Rolled out to all 9 sites in 3 weeks with no downtime

Northbound product interface

03Logistics · SaaS Platforms

Northbound

Timeline: 9 weeks

Scope: Architecture planning, full-stack build, Stripe billing, ongoing retainer

The problem

A logistics consultancy had spent three years building a genuinely good internal tool for freight-lane cost analysis. Clients kept asking to buy it. Turning an internal tool into a product meant multi-tenancy, billing, onboarding, permissions, and an audit trail — none of which they had, and all of which their two-person dev team couldn't take on alongside client delivery.

What we built

A multi-tenant SaaS platform for freight-lane cost modeling. Workspaces with role-based permissions, usage-based billing through Stripe, self-serve onboarding with sample data so a new account isn't staring at an empty state, and a full audit log — a hard requirement for enterprise procurement.

The analysis engine they'd already built was the crown jewel, so we left it alone and wrapped it. We built the tenancy, billing, and access layers around it and exposed the engine through a clean internal API.

Guest access turned out to matter more than expected. Their consultancy clients wanted to see their own lanes without buying seats, so we built scoped guest workspaces — a shared lane set, no access to anything else, enforced in the database.

Results

  • 23 paying workspaces within 90 days of launch
  • $41,800 MRR at month six
  • Self-serve onboarding cut sales-engineering time per account by 71%
  • Passed two enterprise security reviews without architecture changes

Marrow & Vine product interface

04E-commerce · Internal Tools

Marrow & Vine

Timeline: 5 weeks

Scope: Full-stack build, Shopify integration, mobile-first UX

The problem

A specialty food brand doing $4.2M a year was running fulfillment out of Shopify admin plus four spreadsheets: inventory forecasting, supplier lead times, batch and lot tracking, and a wholesale order log. Their warehouse lead was the only person who understood how they connected, and he was going on leave in six weeks.

What we built

An operations layer on top of Shopify. Live inventory across retail and wholesale channels, reorder alerts driven by actual velocity rather than fixed thresholds, batch and lot tracking for traceability, and a wholesale portal where accounts place orders directly instead of emailing.

Built mobile-first, because it's used on a warehouse floor and not at a desk. Barcode scanning runs through the phone camera, so there was no scanner hardware to buy and nothing new for the team to carry.

Receiving works offline and syncs when the phone finds wifi again — their cold storage has no signal.

Results

  • Four spreadsheets consolidated into one system
  • Stockouts down 62% across the first two quarters
  • Wholesale order processing cut from 25 minutes to under 4
  • 78% of wholesale accounts self-serving within 60 days

Verity product interface

05Insurance · AI Products

Verity

Timeline: 7 weeks

Scope: Technical consulting, full-stack build, LLM pipeline, evaluation harness

The problem

A compliance team at a mid-market insurer reviewed more than 400 vendor contracts a quarter by hand, checking each against an internal policy checklist. Slow, inconsistent between reviewers, and impossible to audit after the fact. They'd tried a general-purpose AI tool. It was confidently wrong often enough that reviewers stopped trusting it and went back to reading everything.

What we built

A contract review platform that extracts clauses, maps them against their policy library, and flags gaps with a citation back to the exact clause and page. Every output is traceable to source text — that was the whole design constraint. Reviewers verify rather than trust, which is the only way an AI tool survives contact with a compliance team.

We also built an evaluation set from 200 already-reviewed contracts, so accuracy is a measurement rather than a vibe. Prompt and model changes get scored against it before they ship, and the score is visible to the client.

Results

  • Average review time down from 90 minutes to 22
  • 94% agreement with senior reviewer judgments on the evaluation set
  • Full audit trail on every reviewed contract
  • 9 reviewers onboarded in a single afternoon

Tandem product interface

06Marketplace · Rescue & Scale

Tandem

Timeline: 2-week audit, 5-week rebuild

Scope: Technical audit, refactor, performance work, ongoing maintenance

The problem

A founder had built a booking marketplace on Lovable herself over five months. It worked — 3,100 users, real revenue — and then it started falling over. Dashboard loads past 12 seconds. Duplicate bookings under load. Every new feature broke two old ones. She didn't need a rewrite. She needed someone to find out what was actually wrong.

What we built

We audited first and shipped nothing for two weeks. The findings: no database indexes on the main query paths, business logic duplicated across seven components, no transaction boundaries around booking creation (the duplicate bug), and unbounded queries fetching entire tables to render a list.

Then we fixed it in priority order. Indexed and restructured the query layer, moved booking creation into a transactional database function, consolidated duplicated logic into shared utilities, and added pagination. We kept her product decisions and her UI — the architecture underneath changed.

The last week was handover. She ships her own features again, on a codebase where that's safe.

Results

  • Dashboard load from 12.4s to 0.8s
  • Duplicate bookings eliminated entirely
  • 83% reduction in database read volume
  • Feature work resumed in-house after handover
